With the first half of 2009 ALREADY behind us, I have been thinking about all the great music that has been released so far this year. I was going to make this a Top 10 list but decided to make things more difficult by only picking my 5 favorites. So, drumroll please!

You always have excellent recommendations on twitter, so I know these are good! I admit I don't have any of these albums :( but I'm loving what I heard so far, especially from Eels and Grizzly Bear. So thank you for the recommendations! And I'm so GEEKED for new Yo La Tengoooooo, there are just no words. Sigh!
